What is Horseball?

At the end of the 1970's two brothers from Bordeaux were asked by the French authorities to design a new sport that the whole of France could play. Now, over 30 years later, Horse ball is played in over 14 countries across three continents.

A European championship is held each year as well as International matches throughout the year. Horseball is a fast growing exciting sport, regularly compared to rugby on horseback. With 6 players on the squad and 4 on the pitch at anyone time, teamwork is a must to compete in this high speed sport.

The British Horseball Association is part of the British Equestrian Federation and is the governing body for Horseball in the UK.

Who we are?

Our club has been running for over a year and during this time we have built a committed team, with a mixture of experience and newly trained horses and train weekly with a UKCC Accredited Horseball Coach. We are looking to expand our squad and encourage a team of juniors to take part so that we can build on players for the future and further raise awareness of the sport.

We have played in friendly matches and at the Open Championship this year finishing 3rd and now that we have strong committed squad we are looking to compete and win the novice league 2011 and the Novice Open championship at the end of 2011.
